Matt Kuss

Matt Kuss is a Director supporting the Wasmer Schroeder^® Strategies and Schwab Personalized Indexing^® at Schwab Asset Management^®.

Mr. Kuss has more than 25 years of experience in the fixed income investment management industry. Prior to his current role, Mr. Kuss was a managing director at Wasmer Schroeder & Company LLC where he was responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships across the northeastern region of the U.S. (Schwab Asset Management became the investment adviser for the Wasmer Schroeder Strategies in 2020). Prior to this role, Mr. Kuss was a portfolio manager at Samson Capital Advisors, where he was responsible for co-managing tax-exempt fixed income strategies. He then transitioned to the role of marketing director and was responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships across the U.S. with a focus on the RIA and institutional consultant channels. He was also an investment analyst at Deutsche Asset Management, where he was responsible for collaborating with the portfolio management team in designing Asset and Liability Managed (ALM) portfolios for institutional clients.

Mr. Kuss earned a Master of Business Administration in finance from Suffolk University and a Bachelor of Arts in business management from the University of Massachusetts. He also holds a Series 65 license.
